Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of related experience or training (or equivalent education/experience)
  • Knowledge of office software and medical billing software
  • Polite, courteous, and customer-focused
  • Ability to work well with others in a close team environment
  • Strong focus and ability to concentrate for extended periods
  • Team player with a cooperative attitude

Responsibilities

  • Liability/Attorney Accounts - Review and maintains follow up on accounts attorney represented, third party liability, PIP/Med Pay.  Including negotiating settlements with attorneys/insurance reps and assuring billing and medical record requests are fulfilled.
  • Bankruptcy Accounts - Verifies Bankruptcy information through the various websites and court systems.   Close/document various systems according to established workflow.  Requests Proof of Claims filed with the court when necessary.  Maintain follow up on cases until Discharged/Dismissal.
  • Deceased Patient Team - Verifies Date of Death and estate information through the various websites and court systems. Close/document various systems according to established workflow.
  • Admin Support Team – Supports all teams in the NACS Collection and Legal department by completing correspondence requests.   Create and complete Affidavits. Scanning correspondence and enclosures to related account. Completes monthly reports as assigned by management.
