About The Position

Legal Assistant / Case Manager In-House | West Hartford, CT (Candidates must live within commuting distance. This is not a remote role.) Beckett Law is seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Legal Assistant / Case Manager to support our estate planning, probate, and bankruptcy practice. This is not a passive administrative position. It is a critical operations role responsible for keeping files moving, deadlines met, and clients informed. The right candidate understands that excellence in execution — even in routine tasks — is what protects clients and strengthens a firm. If you are someone who notices when something is missing, follows up without being asked, and feels personal responsibility for keeping systems running smoothly, you may be an excellent fit. If you struggle with organization, miss deadlines, or become easily overwhelmed by multiple moving pieces, this position won't be the right one for you. You will help manage a high volume of active files. Nothing should “slip through the cracks” on your watch. What We’re Looking For Exceptionally detail-oriented — you catch small mistakes others miss Calm and steady under pressure Able to juggle multiple priorities without losing accuracy Proactive — you look for what needs attention next Bright, adaptable, and quick to learn new systems Comfortable with structured processes and accountability A team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude A Note on Fit This role requires consistency, precision, and follow-through. We operate with clear systems and high standards. If you take pride in being reliable, organized, and dependable — and you want to be part of a firm where your work truly matters — we encourage you to apply. Top Performer Profile You may be a strong fit for this role if: You take quiet pride in being the most organized person in the room. You notice small inconsistencies immediately — and fix them. You double-check your work because accuracy matters to you. You prefer clear systems, checklists, and structured workflows. You feel unsettled when tasks are incomplete or deadlines are vague. You don’t wait to be reminded — you track what needs to happen next. When others feel overwhelmed, you focus and prioritize. You believe reliability is a form of professionalism.
