LOCATION : Portland, OR SALARY : $80-87k/yr. DOE SCHEDULE : Full-time; 37.5 hrs/wk. Requirements

  • 5+ years of litigation experience supporting multiple attorneys, with preferred experience in probate litigation matters, including contested estates, trusts, and fiduciary disputes, in a mid-size or large law firm environment.
  • Strong knowledge of probate litigation procedures, legal terminology, and state and federal court filing requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with legal document management systems such as iManage.
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage complex probate case calendars and competing deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents related to probate litigation matters, including petitions, objections, accountings, motions, and discovery; electronically file with probate and civil courts in compliance with applicable rules and deadlines.
  • Support attorneys in managing contested estate, trust, conservatorship, and fiduciary disputes, ensuring accurate case documentation and organization.
  • Serve as a professional and compassionate liaison for clients, beneficiaries, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors, facilitating clear and timely communication.
  • Manage attorney calendars and coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings, tracking all probate-specific deadlines and court requirements.
  • Monitor case progress and provide administrative support, including billing documentation, expense reports, and other litigation-related tasks as needed.
