About The Position

In this role, you'll work closely with our attorneys on case preparation and fact-finding projects, playing a key role in supporting litigation matters. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Litigation Assistant or Paralegal.
  • Strong litigation background required; experience in General Liability or Insurance Coverage preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in legal software (NEOS and Westlaw preferred).
  • Familiar with legal terminology, principles, and document review.
  • Able to perform legal research and analyze documents for accuracy.
  • Tech-savvy with strong multitasking skills.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide exceptional support to attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions, and other case filings.
  • Researches and compiles information from case files and various resources to support ongoing matters.
  • Drafts discovery documents and responses, including Requests for Production, Interrogatories, Notices for Discovery and Inspection, and Requests for Admissions.
  • Processes and organizes deposition transcripts.
  • Prepares trial and arbitration hearing binders.
  • Assists in drafting legal documents such as Motions to Strike, Motions for Continuance, Proposed Orders, Requests for Judicial Notice, and Evidentiary Objections.
  • Handles e-filing in State, Federal, and Appellate Courts, ensuring compliance with local court rules.
  • Prepares timelines, demonstrative exhibits, and other visual case materials.
  • Drafts routine legal correspondence.
  • Initial sets of exhibits for motions and discovery responses.
  • Reviews outgoing document productions, including redaction and Bates labeling.
  • Drafts Preservation of Evidence and Document Request letters.
  • Conducts legal and factual research, including social media investigations.
  • Prepares and processes HIPAA authorizations and follows up with providers to obtain medical records.
  • Reviews, summarizes, and analyzes medical records to assist in case defense.
  • Handles administrative task on behalf of attorneys, such as calendaring of all appointments/hearings etc., communications with court, obtaining and monitoring of court docket sheets, obtaining information using PACER.
  • Prepares communications with clients and regulatory agencies, specifically TWC and EEOC, throughout the regulatory process.
  • Responsible for handling settlements from contract phase through dismissal to ensure all documents are filed and payments are made.
  • Performs additional tasks as needed to support attorneys and office operations.
