JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for investigating all privacy inadvertent disclosures, privacy breaches across the organization and on time in compliance with applicable policies and procedures and relevant regulations. Coordinates with Talent and managers/supervisors to ensure compliance with Privacy Corrective Action policy. Additionally, ensures that the company remains compliant with potential reporting obligations under federal, state, rules and regulations, in all locations that the company operates, as it relates to privacy. Prepares all documentation on privacy breaches across the organization and provides quarterly reporting in preparation for leadership. This position will act as Business Analyst (BA), as well as Project Manager (PM) on regulatory matters. As a Business Analyst, this position will require the application of best practices to facilitate the elicitation, organization and documentation of business requirements related to regulatory filings, working with members of assigned company business units. For purposes of Project Management, this position will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating efforts between a number of operational areas within the organization, as well as with the regulatory compliance departments of Claritev’s clients, when applicable.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, paralegal preferred.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare industry with background in privacy preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a BA and/or PM; BA and health care industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience designing and implementing best practices project management methodologies and requirements definition and management practices
  • Expert-level business and system analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytic, organization, interpersonal, prioritization, multi-tasking, initiating, communication, planning and technical skills
  • Knowledge and ability in proficient in use of Excel, PowerPoint, platforms for privacy and compliance.
  • Ability to take initiative and suggest solutions to problems
  • Ability to use software and peripherals related to performance of job responsibilities
  • Ability to facilitate teams and client relationships to satisfy needs and identify improvements
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of management

Responsibilities

  • Actively investigates all privacy matters across the organization.
  • Provides guidance, advice, and education for business leads and employees regarding privacy issues in compliance with federal and state privacy laws including HIPAA and applicable global privacy laws.
  • Monitors, addresses, and responds to both internal and external reported privacy violations and inadvertent disclosures received via email, phone, and other methods
  • Advises business leads on corrective action regarding privacy violations, inadvertent disclosures, ensures completion of appropriate documentation, and written correspondence is completed and maintained.
  • Collaborates with Talent concerning corrective action regarding privacy violations.
  • Compiles documentation, data entry, and analysis of privacy matters ongoing and prepares quarterly reporting and preparation of data for leadership.
  • Maintains primary responsibility for initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing all regulatory compliance filing activities, including development of project plan and timetable with identified roles and responsibilities for each task.
  • Identifies, calculates, mitigates, and monitors risk, creating contingency plans and advising management, as appropriate.
  • Develops work plan for each regulatory filing and prepare executive summary for management review.
  • Actively solicits, analyzes, and documents regulatory filing requirements in order to ensure that the project team can develop solutions that meet the regulatory filing needs, and establish and maintain agreement between assigned Claritev business units and project teams on the deliverables required to meet the regulatory filing requirements. Tracks and resolves issues by proposing viable solutions.
  • Manages multiple priorities, customer expectations, and relationships with all stakeholders. Manages relationships with customers, project managers, and any/all levels of management.
  • Collaborates, coordinates, and communicates across disciplines and departments.
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal laws relating to securities, healthcare, data privacy and security (including HIPAA), and government programs.
