About The Position

The Legal Affairs Manager will provide comprehensive legal support to the organization's U.S operations, with a primary focus on commercial contacts, regulatory compliance, and risk management. This role will partner closely with internal business units to ensure legal matters are handles in alignment with corporate policies, industry regulations, and business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience supporting automotive, logistics, or supply chain operations within a complex, multinational corporate environment.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Georgia employment laws Required
  • Active license to practice law in Georgia Required
  • Commercial contract drafting and negotiation Required
  • Strong understanding of contract risk allocation and commercial legal principles Required
  • Ability to provide clear practical legal guidance in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Required
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy Required
  • Juris Doctorate Required
  • 6 - 8 Years of experience in law firm and/or in-house legal counsel Required
  • License to practice law in Georgia Required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with transportation regulations, UCC, and commercial compliance Preferred
  • Experience working within a structured, policy driven corporate organization Preferred
  • 7 - 10 Years of experience in law firm, In-house legal counsel, legal contracts management Preferred
  • Bilingual in Korean and English Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a broad range of commercial agreements including:
  • Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
  • Transportation, Logistics, warehousing agreements
  • Vendor, Supplier, and Customer contacts
  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and contract amendments
  • Provide legal advice to business leaders on contractual terms, risk exposure, and compliance matters
  • Support legal needs related to automotive logistics, transportation, distribution, and supply chain operations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal corporate policies and procedures
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, finance, HR, and sales to support business initiatives
  • Assist with corporate governance, internal controls, and policy development
  • Manage and support the contract life cycle process, including contract templates, approvals, and documentation
  • Coordinate with and manage outside counsel as needed, to ensure effective and cost-efficient legal support
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the automotive and logistics industries and provide guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Works with insurance companies on claims as needed
  • Assist in overseeing employment and other litigation
  • Assist with drafting company policies
  • Special projects assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
