About The Position

The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and legal support to the Labor & Employment Partner and practice group. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare, revise, and format legal documents. Assist with scheduling meetings, hearings, arbitrations, and conference calls. Maintain and organize electronic and physical files. Proofread documents for accuracy, grammar, and formatting consistency. Handle incoming calls, screen inquiries, and communicate professionally with colleagues and clients. Track deadlines, timelines, dates, and agency response requirements. Process attorney time entries, expense reports, and assist with billing‑related tasks. Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant (executive support) or Administrative Assistant in a law firm, preferably in labor, employment, or litigation.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage shifting priorities, and maintain professionalism in a fast‑paced environment.
