Polsinelli seeks a candidate to immediately fill a Legal Administrative Assistant position in the Business Department in their Dallas office. Successful candidates for this position will generally possess 5+ years’ relevant experience in a law firm. Alternatively, the candidate may be a college graduate with strong typing and technology skills.

  • Prior experience in employee benefits & compensation, taxation, or transactional law preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting and revising legal documents for attorney review.
  • Support the business efforts of the practice group by handling multiple projects effectively; excellent communication skills and the ability to set priorities are essential.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with management and staff.
  • Demonstrated active approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
  • Highly resourceful team player with the ability to be extremely effective independently.
  • Coordinate new client matters; collect and organize information and create files.
  • Assist attorney with client billing including time entry, drafting, and generating cover letters, working with accounting department on invoices, and communicating with clients as needed.
  • Process vendor invoices and manage attorney expense reimbursement.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping of complex electronic and physical records.
  • Manage timekeepers’ calendars and travel plans, including setting up meetings and calls/virtual meetings and ensuring balance and coordination of calendaring, minimizing time conflicts and maximizing efficiency.
  • Coordinate tracking of CLE for attorneys.
