About The Position

Sterling ATM, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, is a national leader in manufacturing custom ATM enclosures, signage, and branding solutions for financial institutions across the country. We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented LED Display Systems Specialist to join our growing team. We are seeking a technically skilled and motivated LED Display Systems Specialist with 1–3 years of hands-on experience working with digital LED display boards. This role will work under the direction of the Engineering team and collaborate closely with engineering, product development, and production to support the design and development of a new family of LED display products. The ideal candidate has practical experience setting up, programming, and troubleshooting LED systems, along with a strong interest in R&D and product innovation.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience with digital LED display systems
  • Working knowledge of LED modules, power supplies, sending/receiving cards, and controllers
  • Experience with LED control software and display configuration tools
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (hardware and software)
  • Understanding of low-voltage electrical systems and signal flow
  • Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting in product development or prototyping
  • Familiarity with cabinet fabrication and enclosure design
  • Basic understanding of electronics diagnostics and PCB components
  • Knowledge of IP ratings and environmental considerations for outdoor displays
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering-driven environment
  • Interest in emerging LED and display technologies

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission LED display systems(indoor and outdoor)
  • Assemble display cabinets, panels, controllers, and power distribution components
  • Configure networking, signal routing, and system integration
  • Perform calibration for brightness, color balance, and display performance
  • Program LED displays using control and content management software
  • Configure sending cards, receiving cards, processors, and control systems
  • Support firmware updates and version control
  • Test and validate system functionality prior to deployment
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Troubleshoot LED modules, power supplies, control boards, and signal paths
  • Document root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Assist in developing service procedures and troubleshooting guides
  • Work under Engineering direction to assist in development of new LED display product lines
  • Support cabinet design improvements for manufacturability, durability, and serviceability
  • Assist with prototype builds and product validation testing
  • Participate in component evaluation and performance testing
  • Provide hands-on technical feedback to engineering during product refinement
  • Assist engineering with technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and product specifications
  • Support creation of installation guides and service manuals
  • Maintain build documentation and revision tracking
  • Help standardize cabinet layouts and internal component organization
