About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Instruction Manager in the Information School (iSchool), teach one or more of the following courses in an online format for the summer semester of the 2025-26 academic year: LIS 613: User Experience Design 3 LIS 614: User Experience Design Capstone Each course is 32.5% FTE.

Requirements

  • LIS 613: Experience working or teaching in the field of user experience design required.
  • Knowledge of user experience design presentation skills.
  • LIS 614: Experience working or teaching in the field of user experience design required.
  • Knowledge of user experience design presentation skills, professional portfolios, UX field networking venues and career development required.
  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Information Studies, Design, Computer Science or closely related field required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching graduate students in an online learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
