SLP 642: Supervised Clinical Experience Children/Adults II (Summer 2026) Position: Instructional Faculty, Summer Session - State Support Semester: Summer 2026 Day/Time: 1 Live Section. Day/Time TBD. Modality: In-person College: CEHHS - College of Health and Human Studies Department: Speech-Language Pathology The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Summer 2026 to teach SLP 642: Supervised Clinical Experience Children/Adults II. Course Description: Development of competence in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of communicative disorders in children and/or adults through supervised practice. Involves a minimum of 80 clock hours of supervised diagnosis and treatment including: case history review, interview, test administration, data analysis, treatment plan design, oral and written report presentation, and treatment plan implementation. Experience may also include activities related to staffing, educational support, counseling, prevention of communicative disorders, and the enhancement of speech, language, hearing, and communicative effectiveness.

Requirements

  • A master's degree within the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Expertise in working with individuals with communication disorders
  • CA SLP State License
  • ASHA CCC's
  • Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.
