About The Position
The School of Social Work in the College of Behavioral & Social Sciences is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year and the state-support Summer 2026 term. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.
Requirements
- The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a Masters of Social Work degree.
- For some courses, an exception may be made for someone who possess a degree in a related/relevant field.
- Candidates must have a minimum of two years post-MSW degree social work professional experience.
Nice To Haves
- A PhD is preferred.
- Experience teaching is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching.
- Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
