About The Position

The History Department in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.

Requirements

• The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is an M.A. in History.

• Prior college teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lecturers will teach one or more sections of courses for which the department’s Personnel Committee deems them qualified.
• The department assigns courses based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
