About The Position

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for a Lecturer of Kinesiology to begin Fall 2026 . TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution with over 8,000 students located in Laredo, Texas, a vibrant and bicultural city with a population of about 250,000. Primary duties will include teaching undergraduate courses (15 semester credit hours per semester) in weight training, aerobic activities, physical education/coaching, exercise science, and fitness/health. Candidates must be able to deliver content in various formats, including in-person, hybrid, and online. Flexibility in scheduling is required, with availability for morning, evening, and/or weekend classes. Duties also include provide service to the university, the college, and the community. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace. The Department of Health Sciences is housed within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and offers bachelor's degrees in: Kinesiology, Communication Sciences & Disorders, and Public Health. Requirements

• The successful candidate must hold a earned master's degree or higher in kinesiology or closely related field.
• Ability to teach in diverse formats (in-person, hybrid, online)
• Flexibility to teach various class times, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Proven teaching experience in coaching, physical education, exercise science, or related areas.

Nice To Haves

• Certificates in K-12 physical education teaching, NSCA CSCS, NSCA CPT, ACSM
