About The Position

The College of Engineering and Science (COES) at Louisiana Tech University invites applications for a Lecturer position in Instrumentation and Control-systems Engineering Technology (ICET), with an anticipated start date of September 2026. The Lecturer position at Louisiana Tech includes a promotion pathway based on performance and contribution, allowing advancement from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer and Distinguished Lecturer. The College’s vision is for Louisiana Tech to become a destination University for Engineering and Science education due to its dynamic and supportive educational experience, while being a major engine of innovation and intellectualism that uplifts the region. Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline with significant overlap.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate education, including classroom teaching, laboratory instruction, and student mentoring.
• The ability to deliver existing courses and to develop new curricular content in response to emerging industry and program needs.

Nice To Haves

• Substantial Teaching experience in engineering or engineering technology is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong pedagogical and organizational skills.
• Commitment to student success, program service, and continuous improvement.
• Interest in hands-on, project-based learning environments.
