About The Position

We invite applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in Public Health at Colby College to begin Fall 2026. This is a permanent teaching position with teaching and administrative (but no research) responsibilities. Candidates should have a doctoral degree in a public health (or similar) field and have the ability to teach a statistical methods course at the introductory level. Potential areas of expertise include epidemiology, environmental health, nutrition, and health policy and management. The ideal candidate will be passionate about interdisciplinary public health teaching to undergraduates from multiple majors. The person in this position will be responsible for teaching four courses per year and advising students in a public health minor. Teaching responsibilities will include an introductory course in public health, introductory statistical methods courses, and other courses broadly related to environmental public health. The position will also work closely with multiple entities across campus to promote student interest in public health. The ability to establish connections with community partners to provide students with interdisciplinary opportunities in public health is also desirable. We are seeking candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences who, through their teaching, scholarship, and service, will promote access, opportunity, and inclusion across the campus community.
