About The Position

The Department of Computer Science within the College of Science and Engineering at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), seeks an outstanding faculty member for a nine-month, full-time, renewable non-tenure-track position at the rank of Lecturer of Computer Science beginning August 10, 2026. Duties include teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the Department of Computer Science, with a focus on the BS in Computer Science or BS in Information Technology. Online teaching may be required for the position.

Requirements

• Master's degree or other terminal post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework closely related to the discipline to be eligible for employment in this position.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience in the areas of computer science, IT, cloud computing, Linux administration, computer organization, or computer networks.
• Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
