Lecturer in Computer Science for Software Engineering or Intelligent Systems Engineering
About The Position
The Department of Computer Science within the College of Sciences and Engineering at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), seeks an outstanding faculty member for a nine-month, full-time, renewable non-tenure-track position at the rank of Lecturer of Computer Science beginning August 10, 2026. Duties include teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the Department of Computer Science, with a focus on the BS in Computer Science, BS in Software Engineering and the BS in Intelligent Systems Engineering. Online teaching may be required for the position.
Requirements
- Master's degree or other terminal post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or closely related field with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework closely related to the discipline prior to the time of employment to be eligible for employment.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience in the areas of computer science, software engineering, or intelligent systems engineering.
- Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
