SUMMARY The primary role of this position is to learn programming and administration of application systems used in a manufacturing environment during a temporary assignment assisting information systems (IS) analysts and information technology (IT) administrators. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist IS analysts and/or IT administrators with daily tasks related to application programs. Monitor activities of the IT department. Work on assigned projects with the close supervision of IS analyst and/or IT administrator. Participate actively in department/plant safety and environmental programs Perform duties in a manner that protects personal safety as well as the safety of all personnel on site. Whenever appropriate, promptly report Safety, Health or Environmental incidents or issues to management so the situation can be corrected. Attend Monthly Safety Meetings to help prevent off site and job accidents.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Must have completed the second year of college in an accredited engineering program.
  • Relational database design experience, specifically in Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Programming experience with .NET (visual basic) applications.
  • Web development experience with ASP.NET, JSON, and JAVA.
  • Microsoft Office applications experience, including Access and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • LIMS/Sample Manager and SAP software experience desired.
  • 1–2-year manufacturing plant experience desired.
