About The Position

The College of Education at California State University San Marcos invites applications for instructors to teach HHS: Introduction to Health and Wellness Careers, a 3-unit course offered at Rancho Buena Vista High School (Vista, CA). This is a dual enrolled course offered to high school students for college credit. This course provides an overview of various allied health and wellness professions within the U.S. health system. It explores the roles, educational requirements, and pathways to specific health and wellness careers. The course also exposes students to current health care services, concepts, and the professional characteristics, behaviors, values, skills, and knowledge required for success in allied health and other health and wellness careers.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in kinesiology, public health, human development and other health and wellness related career disciplines
  • Working in the State of California is a condition of employment
