The Department of Educational Leadership at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer positions in the department for the programs of Preliminary Administrative Services Credential, the Master of Science in Educational Leadership, and the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program. About Cal Poly Pomona Pomona is one of three polytechnic universities in the 22-campus California State University system and among 12 such institutions nationwide. About the College of Education and Integrative Studies As a learning community of students, scholars and professionals, the College of Education and Integrative Studies is dedicated to the advancement and development of knowledge, interdisciplinary and student-centered education, equity, social justice and community engagement. The Department of Educational Leadership is one of four departments within the college. About the Department of Educational Leadership The Department of Educational Leadership includes three programs, the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program, the Master of Science in Educational Leadership, and the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential. The values of the department emphasize a commitment to equity-focused leadership, social justice, and organizational continuous improvement to meet the needs of all learners in reaching the goals of equity and excellence. Courses are taught with an emphasis on dialogue and analysis of key educational research, reflection and critical thinking, and experiential learning. The Position The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions are filled as needed, based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. The Fall term begins in late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term begins mid-January and ends in mid-May. Opportunities for teaching during the Summer Sessions may also be available. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student-centered to teach in the following subject areas: The courses are offered in a sequenced format for the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential, the Master of Science in Educational Leadership, and the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program. To teach in the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential program, the adjunct professor must have prior experience as a school administrator in addition to having attained a master’s degree in a related area. To teach in the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program, the individual must have attained a doctoral degree in the field of educational leadership or a related field as well as having demonstrated strong expertise through their educational professional positions.
