About The Position

The Department of Mathematics in the College of Science at the University of Texas Arlington ( UTA ) invites applications for academic professional track ( APT ), non-tenure-track faculty positions beginning the Fall 2025 Semester . The APT faculty position is a full-time position at the rank of Lecturer for MS or MA candidates and Assistant Professor of Instruction rank for Ph.D. or Ed.D. candidates. Teaching excellence is expected for the position. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Requirements

  • For the rank of Lecturer: M.S. or M.A. in mathematics, mathematics education, or statistics, with at least 18 credit hours of mathematics graduate coursework.
  • For the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in mathematics, mathematical education, or statistics.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching entry-level mathematics courses.
  • significant experience in or a strong commitment to undergraduate mathematics teaching, student engagement, and mentoring

Responsibilities

  • teaching undergraduate mathematics service courses
  • working closely with the Learning Resource Center in the Department of Mathematics
