The College of Liberal Arts at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, is conducting a search for a full-time faculty member specializing in American and Latin American history. The department is especially interested in candidates with a scholarly focus on gender, indigenous history, and/or imperialism. The position may be filled at the Lecturer, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor level, depending on the candidate’s education, professional experience, and scholarly record. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. by August 2026 and demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service to the campus community. In addition to elective courses in their specialty within the history major, the faculty member will contribute to teaching and the ongoing redesign of two courses in the Mount’s integrated and sequenced core curriculum, including Atlantic Encounters and America in the World.
