The Department of Health Sciences in the College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking a dynamic and visionary lecturer and program director to lead the development of a newly approved Master of Science degree in Nutrition Science and Dietetics, with the goal of achieving ACEND candidacy as a Future Education Model Graduate Program. This is a unique opportunity to build an innovative nutrition and dietetics education program that integrates didactic education with supervised experiential learning to prepare future Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) for advanced practice in diverse healthcare and community settings. This is a 12-month, non-tenure earning lecturer position as the on-campus program director for the MS in Nutrition Science and Dietetics. The preferred start date is Summer 2026 with a possible extension to Fall 2026. The Department of Health Sciences is home to 19 full-time faculty and approximately 3000 undergraduate students in the major and about 500 students in the minor. We offer an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences with two tracks – Pre-Clinical and Health Promotion and a Master of Science degree in Health Promotion and Behavioral Science. The successful candidate will be expected to: Lead the design, development, and accreditation process of the GP in alignment with ACEND standards. Serve as the primary liaison with ACEND and oversee all aspects of program compliance, reporting, and continuous quality improvement. Coordinate curriculum development, experiential learning placements, and student assessment strategies. Foster partnerships with healthcare systems, community organizations, preceptors and other stakeholders to support experiential learning. Teach nutrition and dietetics courses. Engage in scholarly activities, service, and professional development. Demonstrate collegiality in all aspects of faculty engagement. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
