About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Leave Replacement Elementary School Teacher to join our team at Lafayette School. This full-time position offers the opportunity to inspire and educate young minds in a supportive and collaborative environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; a valid teaching certification is preferred.
  • Valid NJ teaching certification for Elementary Education.
  • Previous experience teaching at the elementary level is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning experiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, staff, and parents to promote student success and address any concerns.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds and abilities.
