About The Position

The Leasing Specialist at Weidner Apartment Homes is responsible for achieving leasing and renewal goals for their community. Requirements

• 2 years of property management experience required.
• Prior customer service experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn.
• Experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred.
• Yardi and Paycom experience preferred; willing to learn new software programs.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Must have access to a personal vehicle and valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in marketing and sales within property management.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Walk marketing tour path and ensure clean, rent-ready apartments and model homes.
• Respond promptly to resident and prospective resident calls and emails.
• Convert phone calls into walk-in traffic and set viewing appointments.
• Tour prospective residents with enthusiasm and facilitate the application process.
• Maintain a strong competitive leasing closing ratio and process applications immediately upon receipt.
• Communicate timely and respectfully with applicants regarding their application results.
• Follow the Weidner Move In Experience for all approved applicants.
• Shop competitive properties monthly and create daily marketing and leasing strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of the community, residents, and competitor properties.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of market-ready apartments and common areas.
• Assist with distributing resident correspondence while maintaining confidentiality.
• Accompany vendors to units as needed and assist with lease renewals.
• Ensure the leasing office is clean and professionally presentable at all times.
• Create and maintain residential files with strict confidentiality.
• Collect revenues including rents, deposits, and fees.
• Document service requests and follow up upon completion.
• Communicate regularly with the Community Director and promote safety in the workplace.
• Inspect and respond to safety issues and emergencies immediately.
