About The Position

As a Leasing Associate at Zekelman Industries’ FLATZ 520 community in Phoenix, AZ, you will play a key role in driving occupancy by providing a professional, welcoming experience for prospective residents and showcasing the community’s lifestyle and amenities. The Leasing Associate manages the full leasing cycle—from initial inquiry to move-in—ensuring every touchpoint reflects high service standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-facing, fast-paced environment and takes pride in promoting quality living experiences.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in leasing, sales, or customer service, preferably in residential property management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms, leasing software, and digital tools.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Professional presentation with confident, goal-driven closing ability.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing regulations preferred.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and some evenings.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Mobility to walk properties, including stairs and outdoor areas, in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to inspect units and common areas for cleanliness and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and qualifies prospective residents and schedules property tours.
  • Promotes apartment features, community amenities, and lifestyle benefits to attract new residents.
  • Responds promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Processes applications, conducts background checks, and prepares lease documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Facilitates renewals, move-ins, and move-outs to support a seamless resident experience.
  • Maintains an organized leasing pipeline using CRM and follow-up systems.
  • Supports resident retention efforts and executes lease renewal campaigns.
  • Participates in marketing initiatives and community outreach to generate leads.
  • Ensures model units and common areas are clean, well-maintained, and tour-ready.
  • Assists with the planning and execution of resident events and promotional activities.
  • Promotes and upholds workplace safety in compliance with regulations and company policy.
