About The Position

In support of the Leasing Representatives the job of a Leasing Associate is to collect data and details of prospective tenants, prepare and strategize for internal and external meetings, develop and strategize market specific data, prepare tenant deal presentations and periodic attendance at tenant meetings. This is a developmental position with the expectation that the Leasing Associate shall transition into the Leasing Representative position within 6-18 months.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • One year of experience in the business world preferable but not mandatory.
  • Understanding of financial analysis, in addition to Microsoft Office applications desired.
  • This candidate must be a self-starter, possesses strong interpersonal communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in 7:30am Leasing Meeting daily
  • Research recent news articles to stay current on shopping center, retail, restaurant, entertainment trends, etc.
  • Complete pre-meeting presentations for leasing representatives that are ready to be presented at the morning meeting. This includes: In depth research on company history, ownership, key principles and financial condition. Creating unique goals and strategies for meetings with each tenant. Demographic analysis (daytime employment, population, average household income, ) Location analysis, placement within our centers, and location proposals. Obtaining and analyzing comp sales using the tenant database. Inputting economics into presentations (deal comparisons and pro formas).
  • Periodically presenting the Pre-Meeting on the morning call.
  • Generating Letters of Intent and Lease preparation packages edit accordingly to ensure accuracy
  • Conduct market research for specific tenants and canvass to find new tenant leads for the portfolio.
  • Periodically attend tenant meetings with Leasing Representatives.
