About The Position

Square One Management is seeking a Leasing Agent to join their team in Berkeley, CA. This full-time position focuses on student housing property management, emphasizing resident satisfaction and community engagement. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for leasing and marketing properties, providing administrative support, and ensuring a high level of customer service to residents and their families.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent working experience
• Incredible people skills
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Team player
• Familiarity with Google Suite, including Excel
• Ability to learn Buildium CRMs and various online platforms

Nice To Haves

• Experience in sales, restaurant/hospitality, customer service, and retail
• Familiarity with social media platforms
• Experience in leasing and property management

Responsibilities

• List and market student housing rental listings
• Hold open houses during the week and sometimes on weekends for prospective tenants
• Respond promptly to incoming leads
• Look for creative ways to create additional leads
• Execute rental agreements with residents and their parents
• Ensure rents are collected in a timely manner, and deposits are returned to tenants in a timely manner
• Do basic triage before referring tenants to the maintenance team
• Ensure residents feel heard and resolve tenant issues along with Resident Managers
• Support teammates where necessary
• Assist in property renovations and portfolio expansion projects
