About The Position

The Leasing Agent plays a key role in supporting day-to-day property operations by helping fill vacancies, guiding prospective residents through the leasing process, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is a full-time, non-exempt position ideal for someone who is personable, organized, and comfortable using technology. This role is responsible for managing inquiries, conducting tours, supporting leasing activities, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for prospects and residents. No prior leasing experience is required—training is provided—but a strong customer service mindset is essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Leasing, Customer service or Sales experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable using computers, mobile apps, and digital platforms
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Friendly, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Willingness to learn leasing processes and property management systems

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct in-person and virtual property tours
  • Showcase community features and apartment amenities
  • Guide applicants through the leasing and application process
  • Prepare and explain lease agreements and documentation
  • Manage and update online listings and marketing materials
  • Support marketing efforts, including social media and outreach
  • Greet and assist prospective residents in a professional and friendly manner
  • Provide accurate information on availability, pricing, and lease terms
  • Respond to phone, email, and online inquiries promptly
  • Deliver a positive and seamless pre-move-in experience
  • Assist with lease renewals and move-in coordination
  • Prepare units for showings and ensure readiness
  • Conduct property inspections for cleanliness and presentation
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, applications, and leases
  • Collect and document application fees, deposits, and rent payments
  • Update leasing systems and databases
  • Support reporting on leasing activity and performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations
  • Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and leadership
  • Maintain professional and clear documentation of all interactions
