About The Position

The Leasing Agent is responsible for showing and leasing apartments to prospective residents while supporting the property's marketing plan under the direction of the Community Manager. This role involves maintaining the appearance of model apartments, ensuring compliance with lease terms, and providing excellent customer service to residents and prospects.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the apartment industry.
• Prior customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet.
• Familiarity with Resman management software is required.
• Bilingual skills are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Show and lease apartments to prospective residents.
• Complete lease forms or agreements and collect rental deposits.
• Ensure model and target apartments are ready for show.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and office.
• Monitor the curb appeal of the property.
• Understand lease terms, specifications, and community policies.
• Utilize effective telephone and sales techniques.
• Stay informed about current rental rates, sizes, locations, and amenities.
• Maintain contact with apartment locator services and local businesses.
• Conduct competitive property shopping.
• Develop knowledge of application information and screening processes.
• Conduct outreach marketing at least once per week.
• Develop and maintain a resident retention program under the direction of the Community Manager.
• Maintain resident and property files accurately.
• Process administrative forms, reports, and related information efficiently.
• Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently.
• Assist the Assistant Manager in collecting delinquent rents.
