About The Position

The Leasing Agent is responsible for managing the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. This role involves greeting prospects, conducting property tours, processing applications, and maintaining communication with residents and management. The Leasing Agent plays a crucial role in resident retention and community marketing, while also handling administrative tasks related to leasing and property management.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a telephone, personal computer, and community software.
  • Positive attitude and ability to maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Cellular device required for communication with supervisors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in property management or leasing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing requirements is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospects and qualify them by covering all criteria.
  • Record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports.
  • Inspect models and available market-ready units.
  • Communicate maintenance and cleaning needs to the Property Manager.
  • Conduct tours of the community and apartments, applying product knowledge to clients' needs.
  • Assist prospects in completing applications and securing deposits according to company procedures.
  • Update vacancy sheets and process applications for approvals.
  • Follow up with applicants regarding their application status.
  • Ensure apartments are ready for resident move-in on agreed dates.
  • Follow up on prospects that did not close and attempt to close the sale again.
  • Secure new residents' signatures on appropriate paperwork and receive all monies owed prior to move-in.
  • Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
  • Gather information about market competition and share with the Property Manager.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Accept rental payments and maintain accurate records.
  • Type leases and lease renewals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain current resident files and record daily inspections for the community.
  • Respond to resident requests and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Complete maintenance service requests and inform the maintenance team.
  • Contribute to the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community.
  • Assist in planning and hosting resident functions.
