This Westminster Apartment Community is looking for an experienced Leasing Consultant! Temp to Hire opportunities! The position involves greeting prospects, qualifying them, and demonstrating the community and apartment features to close sales. The Leasing Agent will also handle applications, follow up with prospects, and assist in monitoring renewals while maintaining accurate records and representing the company professionally.

  • Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria.
  • Immediately record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports.
  • Inspect models and available 'market ready' units, communicate related service needs to Property Manager.
  • Demonstrate community and apartment/model and apply product knowledge to clients' needs.
  • Have prospect complete application and secure deposit in accordance with company procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
  • Update availability report, process applications for approvals.
  • Ensure apartment is ready for resident to move-in on agreed date.
  • Immediately follow-up on prospects that did not close and attempt to close sale again.
  • Secure new resident's signature(s) on appropriate paperwork prior to move-in.
  • Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
  • Monitor advertising effectiveness and gather information about market competition.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Maintain current resident files and record daily inspections for the community.
  • Distribute all company or community-issued notices.
  • Maintain accurate monthly commission records on leases and renewals for bonus purposes.
  • Assist management team with other various tasks as required.
  • Consistently implement policies of the community.
  • 1 year of Apartment Leasing experience.
  • Working knowledge of real estate law and leasing practice.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Persuasive with marketing and sales skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Up to date with property market status.
  • Recent Fair Housing Training.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
