About The Position

B2B Property Management is seeking a part-time Leasing Agent to assist with marketing and leasing properties. The role involves ensuring properties are well-maintained, screening prospective tenants, and fostering positive relationships with current tenants. The Leasing Agent will also coordinate tenant orientations and manage various leasing activities, contributing to a positive company image.

Requirements

• Introductory knowledge of the real estate industry, property management principles and relevant legislation.
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong people skills and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Examining properties and informing maintenance staff of issues.
• Advertising available properties and conducting property tours as part of marketing activities.
• Screening prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements.
• Informing prospective tenants of results.
• Inspecting properties when tenants take occupation and vacate.
• Assisting Section 8 tenants and scheduling inspections.
• Liaising with tenants to provide information and address their complaints and concerns.
• Maintaining and storing documentation effectively.
• Accepting rent payments, security deposits and other applicable fees.
