About The Position

As a Lease Operator you will be responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining oil and gas production and injection wells on a rotational schedule. You will ensure peak efficiency and reliability of production equipment, support Health, Environment, and Safety processes. The role requires extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. A successful candidate must have a deep understanding of oil and gas and be capable of troubleshooting various production systems.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Lease Operatoring experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid US Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background check
  • Ability to meet all conditional job offer requirements including drug test
  • Ability to meet all conditional job offer requirements including MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check
  • Ability to meet all conditional job offer requirements including agility test
  • Ability to meet all conditional job offer requirements including fit for duty assessment
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Ability to perform walking, bending, and stopping.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to respond to visual and audible alarms.
  • Understanding of environmental and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Expect non-scheduled callouts outside normal business hours.
  • Monitor various types of wells including flowing, beam pump (with electronic pump-off controller), plunger lift, water injection, and water disposal.
  • Manage various types of facilities including production tank batteries, flowlines, LACT (lease automatic custody transfer) facilities, water injection plants, natural gas compression, cathodic protection and metering devices (electronic gas measurement and others).
  • Perform job by employing safe work practices while utilizing acceptable environmental procedures to maximize earnings while minimizing costs on assigned oil and gas producing properties.
  • Conduct daily monitoring of multiple well sites by vehicle.
  • Test, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment and mechanical problems.
  • Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct general housekeeping and field maintenance.
