About The Position

FourPoint Resource’s Uinta Operations team is seeking a Lease Operator with a proven track record of accomplishments to support operations near Roosevelt, Utah and report to the Production Foreman. Lease Operators are primarily responsible for operating pumping routes, working roustabout ranks, and assisting mechanics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Previous oil field experience
  • Working knowledge of natural gas engines, pumping units, and production equipment
  • Basic math skills
  • Responsible and diligent
  • Safety-conscious
  • Personal computer experience or willingness to learn
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently under little supervision
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to apply innovative ideas in the field
  • Safety-sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol screening
  • Must be able to react to potentially dangerous situations quickly and appropriately
  • Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, visual acuity, hearing, speaking
  • Must be able to climb 15 foot high ladders and stairwells
  • Must be able to change a flat tire or chain up tires in adverse weather conditions
  • Works outdoors approximately 95% of the time
  • Works indoors in office approximately 5% of the time
  • May be exposed to and must be able to drive in adverse weather conditions (snow, rain, ice, wind, heat, flooding, etc.)
  • May be exposed to constant noise, H2S fumes (less than 10 ppm), and high pressure natural gas

Responsibilities

  • Make daily pumper run to check gauges, maintain equipment, and report daily production
  • Perform daily operational checks of assigned wells
  • Test wells to determine production rates and problems
  • Perform minor equipment repairs on natural gas engines
  • Abide by all health, environmental, and safety programs and policies in performance of duties
  • Sell crude oil
  • Document well data on iPad
  • Routinely monitor all well batteries on assigned routes to regularly check casing and tubing pressures, gauge tanks, and amount of time wells ran since last check
  • Ensure that well sites comply with the State of Utah Regulations and Federal Onshore Orders to include cleaning up wellhead oil spills, dragging locations, and keeping locations free of weeds
  • Other duties as required
