About The Position

As a Lease Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining oil and gas production and injection wells on a rotational schedule. This role ensures the peak efficiency and reliability of production equipment and supports Health, Environment, and Safety processes. It requires extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, strong technical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. A successful candidate must possess a deep understanding of oil and gas operations and be capable of troubleshooting various production systems.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Lease Operator experience.
  • In-depth understanding of upstream facilities including but not limited to: separation, pumping, gathering, tankage, LACT sales, metering, and compression.
  • Must live within 70 miles of Cotulla, TX.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs.
  • Walking, bending, stooping is required.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
  • Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and optimize all production and injection wells, including process variables, ensuring all production equipment operates at peak reliability and efficiency, and acquiring and storing data.
  • Actively support health, environment, and safety processes by performing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, and following safe operating practices.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain oil and gas production equipment.
  • Perform duties associated with oil and gas producing operations, including plunger lift wells, process equipment, compression, and dehydration.
  • Optimize artificial lift systems.
  • Test wells.
  • Acquire fluid level information.
  • Perform records keeping and data input.
  • Monitor computer control systems.
  • Test safety devices.
  • Operate and monitor SCADA.
  • Partner with other employees and contractors to ensure all equipment operates at peak efficiency.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System to create work orders for inventory and work planning/prioritization.
  • Assure all work performed adheres to customer's operational excellence standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive on a routine basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
