Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Learning Specialist to join our Mission Critical, L&D team! As the Mission Critical Learning & Development Specialist, you must have hands‑on experience managing the full onboarding lifecycle, from requisition and pre‑onboarding through extended new‑hire integration. You will lead the first two onboarding phases—Pre‑Onboarding and New Hire Setup & Sector Orientation—and provide ongoing coordination and support throughout the first six months to ensure consistency, readiness, and long‑term success. Successful candidates bring proven experience partnering with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, subject matter experts, and leadership to design and deliver onboarding experiences that accelerate role clarity and performance. You must also have experience in training content development, LMS administration, and supporting ongoing capability‑building initiatives. Strong organization, stakeholder management, and a commitment to delivering a high‑quality onboarding experience are essential for success in this role. Some things you can expect to do: Partner with HR Business Partners and the L&D Program Manager to coach hiring managers on requisition submission, role clarity, and onboarding expectations. Support the requisition workflow by ensuring alignment between job expectations, competencies, and onboarding requirements. Coordinate candidate learning assessments when applicable and ensure results are integrated into onboarding plans. Prepare onboarding materials and workflows once an offer is accepted, initiating the formal onboarding process. New Hire Set‑Up & Orientation Manage onboarding notifications and communication to hiring managers, HR, IT, and administrative teams. Coordinate technology and workspace setup for Mission Critical new hires, partnering with IT and Operations. Manages Mission Critical Orientation logistics and ensures Mission Critical new hires receive sector‑specific onboarding resources; partners with corporate L&D to support New Employee Orientation (NEO) attendance. Maintain and update the Mission Critical Onboarding Manual, ensuring links, resources, and guidance remain current and accessible. Collects, verifies, and maintains accurate records of required certifications for Mission Critical team members, assigning requisite coursework when gaps are identified to ensure compliance and role readiness. Serve as a liaison between corporate onboarding and Mission Critical‑specific onboarding pathways. Training & Integration Aid in the development and responsible for the maintenance of the 30/60/90 day onboarding plans tailored to Mission Critical roles. Manage onboarding checklists for hiring managers and new hires to ensure consistent execution of onboarding tasks. Enroll new hires in required training programs, including Mission Critical Training I (Schneider Electric University), Ryan leadership development initiatives, and role specific modules. Coordinate regular check-ins with hiring managers and support them in assessing progress, identifying gaps, and reinforcing role clarity. Facilitate buddy and mentorship pairings and track engagement during the first six months. Monitor onboarding progress, collect feedback, and provide recommendations to improve the onboarding experience. Training Program & LMS Support Partner with SMEs to maintain accurate, relevant onboarding content and training materials. Support LMS administration, including course enrollment, curriculum updates, and progress tracking. Assist employees with LMS navigation, troubleshooting, and access issues. Prepare onboarding and training reports, including participation, completion, and feedback metrics. Perform other training, LMS, and administrative duties as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the Mission Critical L&D function. Communication & Coordination Curate onboarding‑related content for weekly training communications. Maintain the Mission Critical training calendar and coordinate scheduling for onboarding sessions. Provides logistical support for sector‑wide training initiatives, professional skills offerings, and virtual instructor‑led sessions as needed. Assist with recognition programs, learning awards, and onboarding‑related events. You really stand out if you: 2–4 years of experience in Learning & Development, HR, training coordination, or related roles. Strong organizational and project‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple onboarding workflows simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with SMEs, managers, and new hires. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with LMS platforms. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. Experience supporting technical or operations‑focused teams. Knowledge of instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate, Camtasia) or e‑learning platforms (Workday). Experience coordinating or delivering onboarding programs.
