About The Position

The Learning Facilitator I at Applied Medical is essential in advancing learning initiatives by delivering high‑quality instructor-led and virtual training experiences that fulfill the educational needs of teams throughout the organization. This position is responsible for translating learning requirements into impactful training solutions by creating dynamic learning environments, preparing and facilitating content aligned with program objectives, and delivering a professional, seamless training experience for all participants. A strong understanding of leadership development, adult learning principles, and expert facilitation skills are required for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Psychology, Communication, Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in learning and development or leadership training.
  • 2–4 years corporate facilitation experience.
  • Demonstrate experience delivering leadership or professional development training with the ability to quickly learn and accurately present new content.
  • Apply exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to guide discussions, encourage participation, and sustain learner engagement.
  • Apply strong organizational and time management capabilities with the capacity to prepare thoroughly and adapt to evolving program needs.
  • Show proficiency in facilitating both virtual and inperson training sessions while maintaining a professional and polished presence.
  • Exhibit the ability to exercise sound judgment, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with diverse groups of learners.
  • Demonstrate competence with standard training technologies, virtual meeting platforms, and presentation tools required for effective program delivery.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and thrive as an enthusiastic team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to navigate complex, sensitive, or nuanced leadership development topics with confidence, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Strong familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE or SAM, and other frameworks commonly used in the learning and development field.
  • Knowledge of training evaluation approaches such as the Kirkpatrick model and the ability to apply structured methods to assess program effectiveness.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching others in facilitation techniques or related skill areas.
  • Proficiency with content development platforms such as PowerPoint, or other technologies used to create learning materials.
  • Experience contributing to enhancing training content to improve clarity, effectiveness, or learner engagement.
  • Adept at utilizing artificial intelligence tools to streamline efficiency and prepare creative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, effective training sessions using a variety of instructional approaches suited for diverse audiences. This includes presenting material clearly, guiding discussions, leading group activities, and facilitating both instructor-led and virtual instructor-led sessions in a professional and polished manner.
  • Work closely with the Applied Learning team and other crossfunctional groups involved in the development and delivery of various training programs.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and documentation that support learning initiatives.
  • Apply instructional design strategies and adult learning principles when creating training deliverables.
  • Actively participate in team discussions, share observations, provide insights related to program effectiveness, and collaborate on process improvements.
  • Enhance the learner experience and the effectiveness of program delivery by adjusting facilitation approach based on participant needs and incorporating feedback received from learners or colleagues.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration and teamwork by actively supporting colleagues, sharing best practices, and contributing to a positive, solutionsoriented team environment.
  • Embrace, model, and reinforce the organization’s values and culture by building strong relationships, demonstrating cultural alignment in daily interactions, and fostering an inclusive, respectful learning environment.
  • Deliver consistent highquality facilitation that demonstrates strong preparation, confidence, and full command of the workshop.
  • Facilitate effective, engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse audiences and support organizational learning goals.
  • Maintain a polished, professional presence throughout all aspects of training delivery, including communication, session execution, and learner support.
  • Communicate proactively and clearly with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure smooth program and project execution.
  • Manage learning projects from needs analysis through implementation, deployment and delivery.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills that support effective planning, coordination, and management of multiple program and project cycles.
  • Adapt quickly to changing needs, apply sound judgment in complex or unexpected situations, and consistently uphold a learner centered, service-oriented approach.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development by staying current with instructional design best practices, facilitation techniques, and emerging learning technologies.
