About The Position

Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, responsible for organizing, and conducting credit union training programs by providing creative and effective classroom instruction on a diverse range of subject matter. Schedules, conducts, and facilitates blended learning programs for new hires and follow-up education. Develops, customizes, and maintains related training support materials. Ensures that all branches are supported with dedicated monthly training sessions to provide training and support for specific identified issues in each branch. Ensures acceptable audit results and adherence to credit union and regulatory procedures. Is responsible for providing quality internal member service and acts as primary operational contact for branches. Works with various departments to implement and support new initiatives. Performs a variety of routine daily tasks; prepares correspondence; participates in special department projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) education required.
  • Minimum two years frontline member experience service experience required.
  • Knowledge of Credit Union policies
  • Must possess strong communication skills, service orientation and willingness to guide utilizing core values standard.
  • Highly self-motivated and driven to complete assigned work, and proactively seek out new work that needs to be done.
  • PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS) and the
  • Ability to use a Learning Management System (LMS) as a content repository, tracking, and learning vehicle for employees.
  • Ability to create and deliver clear, concise, and effective presentations to include PowerPoint. Proficient with presenting in a TEAMs environment and ability to use a Learner Management System.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to function in a credit union environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to fax, copier, telephone,
  • Ability to lift minimum 25 lbs. (i.e. coin bags & trays). Some travel required.
  • Ability to safely and timely transport to credit union branches and back, and to trainings, conferences, seminars, and employer events as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • AA degree or some college coursework preferred.
  • Previous Team Leader experience desired.
  • Prior training experienced preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the AVP of L&D and L&D Manager to ensure quality training programs are developed, customized, approved, maintained, revised, properly documented, and delivered as required.
  • Develops and uses appropriate training methodologies to communicate information clearly, concisely and in accordance with participant needs; appropriately applies adult learning theories in a classroom environment; creates a motivational, inspiring experience that transfers back to the work environment; finds creative solutions to assist employees in learning required materials.
  • Prepares for training delivery by reviewing, analyzing, and developing a thorough understanding of course content and materials; develops training facilitation skills practice, such as preparing simulations, setting up the classroom and systems, testing scenarios, and preparing a course schedule; gathers information needed to adjust or adopt for specialized training or coaching for any group regarding specific items or processes (including "train the trainer" sessions)
  • Schedules, conducts, and facilitates blended learning programs, classes and workshops including, but not limited to, the following areas: New employee orientation Teller training MSR training Accelerated training for head/assistant head tellers Operational policies and procedures Any training developed internally for any stakeholder
  • Develops and maintains a strong working knowledge of front-line operations and subject matter expertise in focus areas; uses current and past line work experience to add depth to training delivery and ensures consistent operational practices are maintained throughout the credit union's regional network and departments; maintains up to date knowledge of all related credit union policies and procedures and functions as a subject matter expert for those subjects.
  • Maintains knowledge of all products and services as well as the systems utilized to support them.
  • Assists and attends quarterly head teller and MSR meetings, follow-up with posting meeting minutes to credit union intranet.
  • Develops, customizes, and maintains training support materials and visual aids; ensures materials are effectively proofread for format, spelling, punctuation, clarity, content accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintains various classroom facilities, classroom equipment and supplies, and other related materials; ensures training sessions are conducted in an open, friendly, and professional environment that promotes successful knowledge transfer to the participant as a willing learner.
  • Evaluates training performance throughout the learning process by use of classroom participation, skill practice, simulations, testing and other means; conducts voluntary surveys and classroom evaluations with participants; implements appropriate actions based on performance and discussions with the AVP of Learning & Development and the Learning & Development Manager.
  • Assists in the activities of other trainers in conducting training sessions by participating in the design and content creation of training modules.
  • Provides quality internal member service and acts as primary operational contact for branches.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Learning and Organizational Development management team.
