The AAFP seeks to provide family physicians and other health care professionals with continuing medical education (CME) based on the principles of adult learning. The expected outcome of the AAFP Continuing Medical Education program is to increase the ratio of learners who plan and/or demonstrate implementation of meaningful change in their practices. The Learning Development Strategist plays a key role in the Education Division at AAFP and provides guidance and support to the Education division and collaborates across the AAFP to translate learning design strategy into engaging, technology-enabled learning activities, including e-learning, webinars, and live streamed events. This person will leverage existing technologies and platforms to enhance learner engagement and improve the effectiveness of virtual and digital learning experiences.
