The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and its chapters represent over 124,500 family physician, resident, and medical student members, playing a critical role in improving health across the United States. AAFP is dedicated to advancing family medicine, saving members time, and maximizing membership value, enabling family physicians to focus on providing quality and cost-effective patient care. Joining AAFP means being at the forefront of transforming healthcare, ensuring family doctors have the resources to adapt, and contributing to a legacy of advocating for family medicine since 1947. The AAFP aims to provide continuing medical education (CME) to family physicians and other healthcare professionals, based on adult learning principles, with the goal of increasing the implementation of meaningful change in practices. The Learning Development Strategist is a key member of the Education Division, offering guidance and support and collaborating across AAFP to translate learning design strategy into engaging, technology-enabled learning activities, including e-learning, webinars, and live-streamed events. This role involves leveraging existing technologies and platforms to enhance learner engagement and improve the effectiveness of virtual and digital learning experiences.
