About The Position

We are seeking a driven Learning & Development Specialist to join our Water Learning & Development team. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to collaborate with technical experts and the L&D team. You will analyze learning needs and create custom learning solutions for our Water Operations and Water Resources departments. You will be trusted to: - Work closely with department managers to understand unique business performance gaps and learning needs. Lead collaborative efforts to develop ad hoc training solutions. - Ensure learning and development programs are engaging and relevant to employees in various work environments. - Manage a wide variety of day-to-day learning and development activities. - Utilize learning management systems to administer training. - Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Six or more years of experience in companywide and/or operational training and development programs or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in human resource management, business administration, or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Driver’s license

  • Previous experience working in a technical industry and/or developing technical training
  • Experience in designing, developing, and delivering learning and development programs
  • Skill in establishing credibility, trust, and partnership at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced skill in effectively partnering with leaders to design ad hoc/custom learning and development solutions
  • Advanced communication skills, including verbal and written to all levels of an organization
  • Skill in using learning management systems
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Articulate 360 and Camtasia
