About The Position

As Learning & Development Fellow, you will gain hands-on experience in a real-world Learning & Development environment. You will receive mentoring and guidance from experienced L&D professionals, while contributing to meaningful projects that impact the employee experience, through the channel of professional development. Travel and accommodation will be arranged on your behalf.

Requirements

  • Able to both collaborate with a team and work independently
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must be a Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder
  • Must be age 18 at time of hire
  • Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary school/program or a recent graduate (1-2 years)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Have taken Human Resources classes
  • At least a 2.5 GPA
  • Strong critical thinking and research skills
  • Self-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment

Responsibilities

  • Support with analyzing the outputs of NESI’s personal development planning process
  • Utilize this data to propose relevant learning interventions which meet business needs
  • Conduct a Training Needs Analysis to identify learning objectives for suggested development activity
  • Design a short development programme
  • Deliver this development programme to NESI colleagues with support from the wider Learning & Development team
  • Conduct a post-programme evaluation and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop skills in training needs analysis, content development, content design and workshop facilitation & delivery
  • Gain knowledge of the Learning Cycle and how this translates into Learning & Development processes and best practices
