Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering academic, social, and spiritual growth. This role requires a commitment to inclusive education and the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid state teaching certification, certification in Special Education preferred.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of learning disabilities, assessment tools intervention strategies, and instructional best practices. IEP development, differentiated instruction, and behavioral interventions. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the school.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support individualized service plans tailored to learning support plans.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations.
  • Utilize research-based strategies to support students with learning disabilities, emotional challenges, and developmental delays.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and spiritual growth.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure students receive appropriate support.
  • Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Participate in professional development, school meetings, and faith-based activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of student progress and services provided.
