About The Position

Learning Behavior Specialist 2025–2026 School Year Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated Learning Behavior Specialist for a full-time position in Wilmette, IL for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. Position Details Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday Start Date: As soon as possible through end of 25-26 school year Location: Central Elementary School, Wilmette School District 39 Role Type: Maternity leave coverage for Learning Behavior Specialist Service Area: Instructional support, IEP collaboration, progress monitoring

Requirements

• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
• Fingerprinting and background check required before start
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Passion for inclusive education and student-centered practices

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students with IEPs
• Develop and implement instructional strategies tailored to individual learning goals
• Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress
• Participate in staff meetings and school-wide initiatives
