The Learning and Development Specialist will contribute to professional development and training projects and provide support for implementation and application. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Learning & Development or related field
  • 3 years in a role designing and developing adult learning projects/ programs and training
  • Must be willing to travel up to 6x a year

Nice To Haves

  • Other qualifications include eLearning design acumen
  • Must have intermediate MS Office skills and be able to learn new technologies
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Project management experience required
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, including developing systems
  • Early childhood education experience or knowledge is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the overall strategy and innovation in the assigned team about how professional development and training can impact company and department goals
  • Contribute to multiple aspects of a project from proposal stage to production ensuring quality assurance, usability, implementation and application support, and outcomes are met
  • Coordinate logistics for training initiatives and serve in a producer role when necessary
  • Understand and monitor IACET standards compliance
  • Contribute to the design of professional development and training programs and resources using instructional design principles, the ADDIE or SAM model, and using a variety of delivery methods such as instructor led workshops, computer based training and enhanced PowerPoint materials
  • Collect and track training need information including field requests, state requirements, and Bright Horizons requirements
  • Contribute to review, revision, and curation of current professional development and training materials
  • Understand the levels of learning measurement, contribute to the design of measurement tools and strategies, assess results, and make recommendations based on measurement results
  • Effectively use eLearning software tools such as: Prezi, Camtasia, Articulate, and video production/ editing software
  • Assist with logistical aspects of internal conferences and produce department training webinars
  • Contribute to the development of training tools and job aids to help trainers/facilitators increase acumen and impact
  • Collaborate with other departments on special projects and initiatives as required
