About The Position

Learning and Development Specialist Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 35 hours/week Pay: $22.00/hr Clearbrook is a non-profit, social services agency that specializes in providing innovative tools, services, and opportunities to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as Autism and Down Syndrome. The Learning and Development Specialist will report directly to the Director of Training and will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks of all The Training Department’s-related activities and documentation. Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Learning and Development Specialist to join our team. The Learning and Development Specialist Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of training programs aimed at [target audience, e.g., volunteers, beneficiaries, staff, community members]. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone interested in nonprofit work, education, and community outreach.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum (Preferred): Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service or related field
  • Experience: Minimum: At least 1 year of related experience in training/teaching
  • Working knowledge of all applicable state rules and regulations governing training that impact agency programs and policies
  • Skills: Microsoft Office proficient
  • Organizational skills
  • Great customer service
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large groups, engaging

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Previous teaching/training experience with Adult Education
  • Experience working as/with Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of training programs and workshops.
  • Coordinate logistics including scheduling, venue arrangements, and participant communications.
  • Ensure all training materials are prepared and distributed to participants as needed.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all applicable state rules and regulations governing training that impact agency programs and policies.
  • Obtain and maintain designated instructor certificates.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of all Training regulations as it related to OIG, DH S and Clearbrook policies and procedures
  • Provide administrative support to the Training team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and handling correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant attendance, and feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with participants regarding training schedules, expectations, and expired training.
  • Assist in collecting and compiling data for training evaluations and reports.
  • Summarize feedback and performance metrics to inform future training initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
