About The Position

The OST Training and Communications team provides role-specific learning experiences to over 7,600 team members and leaders building capabilities to drive operational excellence and workforce capability across the Fulfillment Network. The Sr. Learning Experience Designer is part of the Operations Support Training and Communications Team reporting to the Sr. Manager Training Design and Development. This role is skilled at design and development of innovative learning solutions that support key initiatives across the Branches and Distribution Centers. The Sr. Designer will develop creative, modern, engaging, and effective training solutions that build capabilities geared toward designing impactful learning experiences. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to assess learning needs, improve existing and new processes, and deliver scalable, measurable learning programs. This role requires a deep understanding of adult learning theory and training development methods. This role will work in partnership with the OST Design and Developer Curriculum Lead to execute high-quality training solutions that effectively contribute to successful business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or another related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in related field
  • Experience developing across a range of learning modalities including Storyline, Rise, Vyond and Camtasia. Familiar with virtual immersive simulation technologies. Demonstrated capability to quickly learn new authoring technology.
  • Strong proficiency with use of all MS applications – Powerpoint, Excel, Forms, Word.
  • Highly experienced in creating training experiences used in eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), job aids, and performance support tools among others.
  • Experience working autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Ability to work within and handle multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Must be able to travel within U.S.; up to 20%.

  • Experience working in warehouse and retail settings strongly preferred.
  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs, championing initiatives through training content.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develops training for 7,600 Branch and Distribution Center team members and leaders that drives onboarding, knowledge transfer, engagement, and retention.
  • Develops engaging, learner‑centered content using diverse modalities including eLearning, instructor‑led training (ILT), virtual instructor‑led training (vILT), job aids, and performance support tools.
  • Collaborates with the Senior Manager, Design and Development Lead, subject matter experts, and internal partners to understand training needs and develop learning that meets defined objectives.
  • Applies adult learning principles, user experience (UX) design, and data‑driven insights to optimize learning outcomes.
  • Builds design documents, storyboards, and scripts, reviews and refines them with subject matter experts and end users, and converts content into animated and interactive learning experiences using tools such as Microsoft Office, Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Camtasia, or other immersive simulation technologies.
  • Partners with Operations Enablement and Communications teams to translate business changes, including new tools, processes, or organizational priorities, into targeted learning solutions that drive adoption and performance readiness.
  • Monitors learning effectiveness after deployment and partners with operational leaders to identify reinforcement or sustainment needs, while providing input to communication campaigns to ensure technical and process content is accurately reflected in learner‑facing materials.
  • Creates learning experiences that incorporate multiple learning styles to support employees in warehouse and retail environments.
  • Selects training modalities strategically, such as microlearning, virtual instructor‑led training, on‑demand resources, or quick reference tools, to minimize disruption while enabling rapid skill adoption.
  • Manages course source files in shared libraries and platforms and maintains ongoing upkeep and troubleshooting of all learning content.
  • Adheres to OST training standards, tools, and practices to ensure learning solutions reflect leading‑edge practices in both effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Manages multiple small‑ to mid‑sized learning projects or leads workstreams within larger initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget to support the fulfillment network curriculum or targeted change management needs.
  • Supports continuous process improvement to enable scalable learning programs and solutions.
  • Actively participates in communities of learning professionals to share best practices and identify emerging learning trends.
