About The Position

The AMRT Lean Leader for Global Process Development will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement across GE Vernova’s Advanced Manufacturing & Repair Technology (AMRT) organization. This role is responsible for leading and coaching Lean transformation initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost across manufacturing, repair, and new product introduction (NPI) processes. The Lean Leader will serve as a hands-on change agent, partnering with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to deploy Lean tools and methodologies, lead Kaizen events, and embed standard work and problem-solving capabilities into daily operations. This position requires strong technical credibility, proven Lean leadership, and the ability to influence across global, cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Operations, Mathematics, or related discipline)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, repair, repair development, process development, or New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Demonstrated experience using Lean tools and methodologies in an industrial environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience as a Lead or Co-Lead in Kaizen events or structured continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience applying structured methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global team environments.
  • Lean certification or formal Lean training (e.g., Lean Leader, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt).
  • Experience working in advanced manufacturing or aerospace/energy-related repair environments.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Track record of delivering measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Self-starter with strong ownership mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience supporting cultural transformation and sustained Lean adoption.
  • Familiarity with GE operating systems, Lean management systems, or similar enterprise continuous improvement frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor engineers and cross-functional teams on Lean principles, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement behaviors.
  • Lead and Co-Lead Kaizen events focused on improving manufacturing, repair, and process development performance, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Apply Lean tools and methodologies (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Problem Solving, Visual Management, 5S, Kanban, SMED) to drive sustainable process improvements.
  • Partner with process development, manufacturing, repair engineering, and NPI teams to identify waste, reduce variability, and improve flow.
  • Support the development and deployment of standardized processes and best practices across global sites.
  • Facilitate data-driven decision-making using Lean metrics and KPIs to track progress and ensure sustained results.
  • Influence and align stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization without direct authority.
  • Support change management efforts to build a Lean culture and reinforce continuous improvement mindset.
